An embroidered collection for the bespoke fashion market which encapsulates the beauty of medicinal plants. Within the designs, the chemical structures that provide the medicinal properties have been combined with the illustrative imagery of the medicinal plants. ‘Flourish’ features three connected designs, beginning from the upper spine which reclaims the shoulders with the heavily-embellished chemical foliage. The sheer silk fabrics have been consciously hand-dyed with Chlorophyllin, supporting the delicate and rich textural embellishments.

Embroidery techniques, such as hand-beading, Stumpwork, Irish embroidery and Wilcom digital lettering have been meticulously combined, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship for the bespoke market.

Contemporary relevance is at the heart of this project, where the imagery of medicinal plants that can help Dementia suffers has been used. Therefore, this project aims to highlight the beauty of alternative remedies that could potentially help, whilst also raising awareness on the topic.
