Karina Jassi is a final year student at Birmingham City University, studying BA (Hons) Textile Design. Specialising in embroidery, Karina has a passion for creating detailed embellished fabrics.

Within the designs, she enjoys utilising traditional hand techniques, such as goldwork and hand-beading which are combined with contemporary machinery such as Irish embroidery to produce distinctive outcomes.
Karina pushes the notions of being sustainable by creating naturally dyed surfaces as the base of her embroidery, amongst designing with the intention to generate attention and raise awareness on environmental topics.

After completing her degree, Karina is seeking opportunities in the bespoke industry to build on her skills and knowledge of embroidery for fashion and textiles.
